I'm using an OfficeLite setup to test some applications for the Kuka KRC4. I can ping the robot successfully, and can ping my personal PC from Windows Embedded on the KRC4; however, I'm a little confused as to how the SmartHMI and Windows Embedded operate together. From WireShark, I can see packets being forwarded from the Windows PC to the HMI via various ports on IP address 192.168.0.1. I want to be able to do socket communciation between my computer and Windows Embedded, but I can't seem to connect to the Windows machine directly. How can I make this happen? In short, how can I connect to Windows itself, not just the robot?

in the Officelite, you must connect your vmware netcard with your vxworks netcard, this could be done by using port-forward tools, like kuke router or others software.

Thanks for the reply. To clarify, my hardware is the KRC4 offline programming system. My PC is connected to this machine via ethernet. I would like Windows on my PC to talk to windows on the KRC4. Can you provide any direction on which ports I would need to forward? I'm guessing I would need to talk to my Kuka rep about this router program? I guess if I knew which ports to forward, it could be accomplished by open source.

You should be able to get access to shared folders on the OfficePC via the KLI addess normally 172.xxx.xxx.xxx.
Look in Menu: Startup or Setup->Network.
There should be a virtual network there with a checkbox that says windows. -
I want to do socket communication. I can already access the folders on windows, but I want to talk directly to a socket server that I'd run on windows on the KRC4 from another external windows computer.
