    Hi,
I am using the roboguide weldpro and I am trying to attach the welding torch.
When I attach the standard torch from the library then it works ok.But when I try to attach our own customize torch then it won't work.
Can you help me. the pic is as below

You need to orient the model to meet the arm. Open the properties for the new model, and it'll be under the "Link CAD" tab.

This phenomenom occurs because the origin and axis orientation of the CAD model is retained. When importing your model, roboguide will match the CAD origin with the Flange origin.
To get back on your feet you either have to change the properties of the model or export a new CAD model with a new origin.

You may be able to get your current model to work - I can't tell from the picture how the torch is supposed to mount so this may or may not work. Open the measure tool, for "From" select the robot, select faceplate; for "To" select the tool, select entity and face center and click on the face that mates to the faceplate. Set all your distances to 0.

Do you know the moving tools in RG? Use that to shift the origin of your custom tool so as the mounting face and the face plate mate.
As Titus wrote the measure tool can be used to modify position of an object relative to another object.
You just alter the dimensions and roboguide will move the object to give the specified measure.
In this case you have to pick the center of the face plate, actually is the TCP since it is null, then pick the center of the mounting face of your tool
Measure will give the distenances, then make them 0, then apply rotations as required to get a proper aligment

By the way, can you share your tool model, please?
    Regards

    HI,
Thanks for the support and answers ,I will try what you suggested and update you.
I can share the model but in this forum .CSB or .IGS files can not be attached.
