Alarm 4314 Encoder Battery Error

  • Hi,

I'm getting the following alarm on startup on an XRC/UP20 robot

    ALARM 4314
    SERIAL ENCODER BATTERY ERROR
    ROBOT1 [SLURBT]

I've replaced both battery packs at the base of the robot but the alarm continues to show on startup
We are able to push the reset button and continue running our robot without any issues

Is there another battery location that I have overlooked? Does anybody have any ideas on what else might be causing this?

    Thanks

  • You have something shorted out that is causing this. Could be the encoder is shorted or the wiring harness for the encoder to the R-axis.

I know a thing or two, because I’ve seen a thing or two. Don't even ask about a third thing. I won't know it.

  • Hi,

I'm getting the following alarm on startup on an YASNAC XRC PX 1850 robot

    ALARM 4314
    SERIAL ENCODER BATTERY ERROR
    ROBOT1 [SLURBT]

WE CANT ABLE TO LOCATE THE BATTERY LOCATION IN BASE THRU MANUAL REFERENCE.

ANY OF THEM CAN HELP BY SEND THE LOCATION PICTURE?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE
