Depending on what you are trying to accomplish this may help (I am assuming KRL):

i just love "detailed" questions like this... someone gets their hands on a robot and immediately assume that whole world know what controller/software version they use.
It is just like asking "how many seats/wheels Merzedes has"... without specifying if it is a sedan, truck, van, bus...
While youre waiting for him, would you mind answering the same question for a KR C2 ed05 using KSS 5.4.14
Im just looking to print the values of variables to the console, not to a file, if at all possible.
what do you mean by console? message display?
just generate Notify message with variable value embedded as parameter. On newer KSS one can use MsgLib to simplify message programming but the idea is the same
AFAIK, there's no "debug console" where you can print debug messages like you can with c/c++ and etc.
I believe the Notify is what Im looking for. Thanks! When I said console I meant the message screen within HMI.
Found the docs on the message programming here: http://www.robot-forum.com/rob…sage-programming-manuals/
The manual labeled "melderz_en.pdf" does not seem to list a software version. Does anyone know if the instructions they present are applicable to 5.4? I wont be able to test for a couple more hours.
that should be it. KSS 5.5 introduced bunch of changes that carried over to 5.6 and KRC4.
Awesome! thanks
