Hello guys, long time since i posted here !

I got a KRC2 Ed05 - KSS 5.14 - looks like a fujistu-Siemens Motherboard D1688. I got a configuration error when booting computer since I changed the Motherboard battery. On this version i think there is no Jumper switch directly on the Motherboard to load the Kuka Specific BIOS.

Everytime I boot CPU, we got those message.

    System configuration data updated
    ERROR
0271 : Check date and time setting
    WARNING
0251 : System CMOS checksum bad – default configuration used

So I enter in the BIOS and set Time/Date, then do "Save and exit" and the computer don't restart (Screen go GRAY). In fact, the CPU will never restart until i remove again de Motherboard battery. If i close main ON/OFF Switch and put it back ON, the screen stay BLACK until i remove/replace Motherboard battery.

Somebody already saw something like this or where I can find the "Kuka BIOS" configurator for my PC if there is any ?
I'm in contact with Kuka Focus center, I'll post here when I got something new.

    Thanks a lot

Replace batery then in bios loaf default settings. If controller does not boot , you may need to force start using jumper as as "power on" button. Read motherboard manual for details

What is that "Power ON" jumper ?!? In the attached Motherboard manual, Page 7, On the front panel ? Or it's something about the Setting Switches and jumpers on Page 28 ?

    Thanks a lot Panic mode

    page 7....

typical desktop tower (kuka, office or gaming pc, does not matter) has bunch of LEDs (Power on indication, speaker, HDD activity etc) and buttons (power on).
such machines are powered on by pressing PowerOn button (Front panel of your Tower).

in robots, use is different, those PCs need to boot when power is applied. this requires change in BIOS settings. so after exchanging CMOS battery, you do need to use once "power on" to get into BIOS and change the settings.

When I jump the Power ON/OFF on the motherboard pins, the screen switch from GRAY to BLACK but PC don't boot. The command to restart seems to be working but computer don't start. Then I can switch main disconnect or remove Power to the computer nothing will happen until i remove the motherboard battery and replace it. :wallbash: something looks wrong with that mobo :stupid:

FYI , I got Feedback from Kuka Focus Center, they say it's impossible to get Kuka Bios and the only way is to buy a new Motherboard.

    Thanks all

Hello, I have the same problem, after replacing the motherboard battery I got the following message

    System configuration data updated
    ERROR
0271 : Check date and time setting
    WARNING
0251 : System CMOS checksum bad – default configuration used

Then enter the bios, set the date and restart the pc. The pc never started again.
Sims, Could you solve the problem?

    Thanks

this is something that has to be done carefully. shorting wrong header pins could mean trouble....
