What is a "Chain 1 Fault +24 Volt" error, and how do you fix it?

sounds like an e-stop board issue or wiring issue in the safety circuits. The 2 E-Stop relay circuits are fed in opposite directions with the 24VDC power, see the 1st image. This prevents a wiring fault from energizing one relay from the other circuit. The 2nd image shows the E-Stop board for a R-30iA robot. You can use jumpers across the top inputs to test the board to see if it is OK. Check the continuity of the individual loops in the circuits to make sure there is not a problem there.

Thx! I will check this.

Thank you DaveP!
One of the contacts on the E-Stop Switch was bad!
Thx again!

You're welcome. Glad I could help.

Hi Together,
i have gone through your conversation, but as i am new it is diffcult t0 understand.
i have got two error SERVO-230 CHAIN 1 abnormal 0,0 and SERVO-231 CHAIN 2 abnormal 0,0.
i have check the contact connected on the chain 1 side(between EES 1 adn EES11, betwenn EAS1 and EAS11) is closed and a contact on the chain 2 side (between EES 2 adn EES21, betwenn EAS2 and EAS21)
is open. i think this is the reason that i got this error. but with this only one error(servo-230 chain 1) must be occur. but i am getting both the error.if above mentioned is the problem then what will be the solution?
DaveP could you help me hear?

First, you need to fix the issue of one contact closed and one open. They both need to close at the same time to prevent any faults.
You can try doing a Shift Reset to see if the error goes away. Or press RES_1CH button on the Alarms page on the robot pendant. (Reset Single Channel Fault)

ThreadChain 2 abnormal error
New to robotics and i came across an error that i cant fix and im not entirely sure how to go about it. ive tried to look it up but i couldnt find a lot about it.
the error code says SRVO-231 Chain 2 (0v) abnormal
Thanks for the help in advance.Robotics650December 6, 2017 at 12:25 AM -
Thank you for quick reply.
how can make it both close at the same time?
yes i reset it RES_1CH now robot is working as normal. but i am curious to know can i make both signal close at same time?
i just reset it but still it is not good solution so i want to close both signal.

i have check the contact connected on the chain 1 side(between EES 1 adn EES11, betwenn EAS1 and EAS11) is closed and a contact on the chain 2 side (between EES 2 adn EES21, betwenn EAS2 and EAS21)
is open. The PDF file pg_0334.pdf from above shows the E-Stop and Fence wiring that you referenced. The contacts for EES1 to EES11 and EES2 to EES21 must close at the same time for the E-Stop to function correctly. Same for EAS1 to EAS11 and EAS2 to EAS21 in the Fence circuit. Chains 1 and 2 are for the dual loops in each circuit. When I said both contacts closing at the same time, I meant for the E-Stop contacts or the Fence contacts. Those circuits are separate. Your SRVO-230 alarm may be caused by something else like the deadman switch or something similar. See this link for an example. Srvo-230 Chain 1 abnormal 4,4

DaveP Thank you so much for your all reply. now i hvae an idea what i have to check and what i have to do. The last two qestions are the what is 4,4 in error SERVO-230 CHAIN1abnormal 4,4.
Because my errors were SERVO-230 CHAIN 1abnormal 0,0 and SERVO-231 CHAIN 2 abnormal 0,0. ?
What is Chain ?
jus for conformation it is a loop between thos connection. i means
Chain 1 is wire connections EES1 to EES11 and EES2 to EES21
and
Chain 2 is wire connections EAS1 to EAS11 and EAS2 to EAS21
Please correct me if i am wrong.

The E-Stop and Fence both have dual loop circuits for the wiring. This is the Chain 1 and Chain 2 for each circuit. The dual loops (Chains) have the redundant wiring for safety in case one Chain fails or the timing between the two Chains is not quick enough for opening and closing.
E-Stop wiring
Chain 1 is EES1 to EES11. Chain 2 is EES2 to EES21
Fence wiring
Chain 1 is EAS1 to EAS11 Chain 2 is EAS2 to EAS21

Thank you for your reply. what is the 4,4 and 0,0, at the end of the error?
-
I looked in the documentation and could not find any specific information for the numbers after the alarm message.
-
i got error to change battery. how much it is important can i change it after 3 days? and as far as i know the battery must be C TYPE. Can any one conform this?
I hvae errors,
DIAG 009 G1 Chang mech. battery
DIAG 009 G1 1st mechnaical check
DIAG 009 G1 1st Controller check
-
You can change it in 3 days, shouldn't be a problem. You can change it in 10 years, if you don't switch off the cabinet.
The other messages say that you have to do the maintenance described in the maintenance manual.
Battery is C Type
Dont cross-post, one post with the same text is enough.

DS186 hermann thank you so much for your reply.
i have no issue with error 1(Battery changed.)
i dont know exatly what i have to do with other two(mechanical check and controller check ), i didnt find those error in error codes manual. could you give sourt information?
in attchment you can find the image. i have to follow those step for check the maintenece ?
i will removed another cross post.

The DIAG alarm codes are described in the alarm code list manual.

You should look into the mechanical unit maintenance manual for your robot. You should find something like:
-
-
Click on the blinking triangle on the top right corner of the TP or MENU > STATUS > Reminder to open the Maintenance Reminder. There you need to confirm (COMPLETE) the things you carried out.
