We are having 2 1600ID robots with 3 external axis in welding cell. Suddenly motor gets off & no alarm display & when we turn motor on its working ok. What may be the cause of it? We check all the connections related to motor on contactor but found ok.
Please help to found root cause of it.

Make sure the weld cables are not bundled with any of the control cables and all the grounds & sheilds are properly connected. If you are using the robots 24V to run anything near the welds, try to reroute it to minimize noise fed back on the 24V.
If this just started, what changed? Does it happen in the same point in the process? Check the error logs, it may have logged the problem even if it did not display it. Good luck!!

We have already separate out all the control cables & resolver cables of robot from welding cables but we have to keep in one tray only.
Also this problem happens to any point suddenly with no alarm & its start again if done motor on.....

I don´t want to be rude.... but the robot is receiving signal from the PLC? are you sure than the PLC doen´t send MotorOFF signal? I spent 4 o5 hours to debug it, because the robot only check the rising edge of the signal, and no alarm appears, only "motor OFF".

PLC don't have any signal configured like motor off, but I noticed that sometimes
Maximum PWM Reached in Torque Controller error display motor goes in OFF state without error
    MU2- external axis.

Iowan already asked this but is it both robots at the same time? If so it is most likely a PLC issue where the Motors on bit isn't being reset after a light screen is cleared for instance. If it is one robot at a time I've seen issues like this arise from EPS and Joint Speed Errors on these.

Have you defined the load on that axis ( MU 2) with MechUnitLoad? Is the external axis ABB motors MU/GU or a positionwe such as MTD/MID from ABB?
