  • We have Kuka robot "KR6 R900 sixx" and controller "KRC4 compact".

  • always read error messages in order they appear (look at the time stamp, oldest message is on the BOTTOM of message list).
many other messages are often just result of one original message. for example if controller could not start EtherCat communication, you will get ton of (maybe distracting) messages about things that don't work, which is true but - first you need to fix the communication (KSS13012).

make sure robot is connected to controller (data cable X21-X31) and even before that, check if pins are bent or pushed out.

    1) read pinned topic: READ FIRST...

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly

    3) read 1 and 2

  • Thank you, panic mode for the reply.

I checked data cable X21-31 and pins. Connection is ok.

Yes, I read messages in order they appear (from bottom to top on the SmartPAD). Message list in my post has reverse order in comparison with SmartPAD.
So, the first messages (by time) are:
    -----------------
    Warning: 05:44:09 AM KSS00099
    Error on reading/writing: SYS-X44

    Error: 05:44:09 AM KSS02858
Ackn. Stop due to field bus error
    -----------------
The last messages (by time) are:
    ----------------
    Error: 05:44:11 AM KSS25004
Invalid data found on EDS of device Resolver Digital
    Converter (RDC) ECAT-CTRLBU (error 0xd8112322)
    Caused by: Drive

    Warning: 05:44:19 AM KSS13012
<SYS-X44> Error during ECat stack initialization [NetworkResponse
    () no Network Response]
    ----------------

I added time stamp to the messages of my list (see the first post).

I see new two messages on the SmartPAD, that replace each other repeatadly
    -------------------------
    Warning KSS 25003
EDS of device Resolver Digital Converter (RDC) ECAT-CTRLBU
    cannot be found (error 0x48112020)
    Caused by: Drive

    Warning KSS 25002
Hardware defect detected while writing the EDS of device Resolver
Digital Converter (RDC) ECAT-CTRLBU (error 0x48012002)
    Caused by: Drive
    ---------------------------------------

What can I to do to fixup the problem now?
    Thanks

  • it could be many things:
    1. RDC
    2. EDS at the RDC
    3. Data cable (X21-X31) or mating ends/cables
    4. CCU (HW or FW)
    5. WoV project (wrong topology for example)
    6. wrong FSoE address or RDC not connected correctly
    etc.

    1) read pinned topic: READ FIRST...

    2) if you have an issue with robot, post question in the correct forum section... do NOT contact me directly
