Following this will allow you to change the login time for the KRC4 Controller. Please before you send the cell to the customer revert the changes to the factory settings.

    1. You will need to first locate the file named “Authentication”. Location is in C:\KRC\SmartHMI\Config\Authentication.
    2. You will need to modify the value from 300 to 300000. There are three different locations that you have to modify, one is in “Lease time” and “Announcement” which has two different places you need to modify the value
    3. Once you have completed the modifications you will need to save the file and perform a cold start.

If you switch to extended or auto you will have to log back in but this will allow you to set down the pendant for more then 5 minutes

My recommendation, save authentication file to USB drive as backup.
I've went thru the instruction and changed the 300 to 300000 on three locations.
But, when I cold booted, there were some errors to load auto external files.
I put the old authentication file back and rebooted, then it was loading without problem, but, expert mode is very short lived.

I want to know how to stay "expert mode" even though change from T1 to External.

    Hi,

in <AutoLock>ModeOP2Aut ModeOP2Ext</AutoLock> remove ModeOP2Aut and/or ModeOP2Ext to not drop user lever when switching.

It is answered in #2, but I'll make it easy for you

    - Find C:\KRC\SmartHMI\Config\Authentication.config

    - Set <LeaseTime>0</LeaseTime> (Within the yellow box)

    - Restart controller

I've got success with just altering the top most value.
