Zero position after tip wear calibration

  • Hi All

I would just like some clarification please .....

As I understand it,once zero has been set for a servo spot weld gun with new weld tips , the subsequent wear calibrated after measuring 'K' and 'P' measuring points (using a calibration plate) will be applied(compensated for) as measured to both moving and fixed tips.IE when A7 is then closed ,by manually jogging, the A7 value should always read 0 (within half a millimeter or so)?

The Kawasaki agent I am dealing with on site is telling me that the Axis 7 value should read what has been calculated during tip wear measurement IE not zero?

I would appreciate some clarification on this as I don't see anything in the manuals explaining this.

    thanks in advance
