Hi, I'm trying to set up EtherCAT communications between a KRC4 and a Numatics G3 pneumatic valve bank, but I keep getting the following error on the teach pendant:
"<SYS-X44> Error during ECat stack initialization. Device: Numatics G3 [Init: init command failed - INIT to PREOP]"
I downloaded the device description file directly from the G3 unit itself, and the network topology in WorkVisual matches the physical topology. If I take the G3 out of the configuration and reload the program, everything on the KRC4 works fine. With the G3 back in the configuration, WorkVisual's diagnostics monitor shows that the KRC4's EtherCAT master is in init mode. The display on the G3 says it is in pre-op mode. If I disconnect the G3, the KRC4 immediately switches into pre-op mode. Plugging the G3 back in, the KRC4 stays in pre-op while the G3 stays in init.
I guess this sounds more like a problem with the G3 than with the KRC4, but I figured I'd post here and see if anyone else had seen something like this before. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
