fuse 1 on op panel keeps blowing

Fuse1 on op panel keeps blowing, tbop6 only has the ov and 24v jumpered, nothing else is wired to it, will blow fuse with power to control turned off, try to change fuse and it blows as soon as it is touched. Any suggestions?

My thought is op panel board is bad, but fanuc tech support says it is external witing, taking out the external wiring and it still blows the fuse tells me the board has a problem.

It seems very likely to me that the fuses will blow when you jumper the 0v and the 24v, because that will short them.
And I think you will know that, so I think you mean something else ?

Obvious question Did you measure those terminals ? are you getting 24 vdc or more. Maybe there is a short somewhere else

Field wiring to the tbop4 had one copper strand touching a 24v source causing it to backfeed 24v to the op panel board causing the fuse to blow,

The 0v and 24v on tbop6 have to be jumped or else you get a alarm on the tp that the op panel estop is on

always use ferrels. god knows the number of times i have clamped on the shielding or had wires come out. head that one off at the pass.
