I don't believe you can select what mode the robot boots into, although I could be wrong on that.
As for selecting a particular program, you can look at the default SPS that comes with the robot. It usually has a section in the INIT part of the SPS that automatically selects the CELL.SRC program on boot.
However, running the program will still depend on an outside source to activate the motors, clear messages, and issue a program start command.

If i use another file instead of cell.src for handling external auto-mode i have to change the path (to new function) in that string?
