Hi , before I ask the question here's a short background & observation.
I've been around awhile and not quick too jump in feet first , I have therefore spend many hours and $k's looking at , claimed "operational" industrial products & as we all know many products work well in a controlled environment.
So to the question - does any one have a robust working Laser sensor , position correcting, "in real time" , welding robot system ," in and running ", in the the "real world" heavy industrial environment .
To be clear - The system is correcting as welding is taking place "not " finding components position before welding , that we have been doing for over 20 years.
Every time I investigate , I find large hidden $ costs , high ongoing maintenance , feel sensor mounted on torch looks to be impeding torch from getting into tight positions & prone to physical damage.
The Arc voltage sensing systems have been around for many years and have a proven track record & reasonable cost , however , they are not favourable to aluminium welding.
Any feed back would be much appreciated .
