Hello everyone, I'm a newbie... I've been programming ABB robots for a few years and have taken a position running fanuc welding robots. The frustrating thing is, with Abb mechanical units if they crash you can jump a few movements. Move it on another, key it over, clear all faults, motors on and start.. I'm told this isn't possible with fanuc unit, or is there a way round it?
At present if the robot failed for some reason I have to abort the whole welding job or skip the position and finish in manual and send the part off to rework. Losing cycle time and incurring additional cost.
Any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks
