problem with implement Weidmueller uremote EtherCAT ESi file to Workvisual

    Hello KUKA friends, could yopu please somebody chck if ESI file for Weidmueller u-remote EtherCAT Coupler and I/O modules are functional in WorkVisual 2.2 or 2.4 ?
    I have ESI file downloaded from Weidmueller website, but I am not able implement this file to sw KUKA.

    It looks as it's a modular device, right? As far as i know, KUKA only supports non-modular EtherCat devices, except for some of the Beckhoff devices.

    I know of some people who edited esi files to create a "non-modular description" for a modular device.

    Hi, thank yoi for idea and information, may be ESI files are not right format for KUKA sw.

    I have now Work Visual 3.0.8 and I can import coupler adn IO modules, Coupler was import successfully I thinking but IO modules did not imported. but IO modules sre not in DTM catalogue. Picture 1 added

    Second interest is I can try to create Kuka robots project with EtherCAT buss, but I am not able import KUKA system BUS EtherCAT.

    Do you have expiriencce with this? Could you please send me help how proceed when I can add EtheCAT buss to KRC4 SR
    Picture 2 show how looks liek my project and I do not know how proceed when I can place coupler on system BUS ...

    This module is not supported, and unless you feel that you have the knowledge to write your own esi-xml file, then you wont be able to use that module with a KRC4 yet..
    The easiest solution would be to get the beckhoff EK1100 ethercat coupler with EL1809 and EL2809 modules for your I/O instead.

    Yesterday I search some picture where is ESI file for Weidmueller coupler implement to WorkVisual, you cansee it in picture.

    But I am not able repeated it ..... I do not know if missing me some modules for WorkVisula, because I am not able activated Bus Structure.
    KCB and SYS-48 etc ... do you have some instruction like peoceed when I can repeat project like on picture, please?

    Hi, i tried the file from weidmueller and i got the same result. The problem is that you cannot choose the amount iOS. In ek1100 from beckhoff, you add cards and link it to iOS. It seens to be a single module file.
