Ethernet KRL 2.2 - unknown error

    hi all,


    after upgrading to krl 2.2, i getting error message "unknown error" when i trying to use
    "RET = EKI_Send("Kuka_ROBOTs", "Robot/Event"


    i getting it even if i try to send some message.


    it work once , but then stopped.


    i using work visual 2.4 to write the code and deploy it to kuka krc4.


    i also have a lot of trouble to configure it as client rather then server.


    if any one have an idea how to do it, i will be more then happy

    i minimized the hmi.
    i moved the cd into usb memory.
    inserted into cabinet


    run setup program from the root


    after installation was finished, i rebooted the controller.
    and make a deployment from work visual to the controller by pressing F6.


    there is also a path called KukaOptionPackages which i don't know what to do with it, and if i need it.

    yep, that's bad... don't do that.


    when installing software check version compatibility first and then read installation instructions.
    HMI takes many resources and if things used/open by HMI, they cannot be modified by installer.
    this means you need to either:
    a. install it through HMI
    b. prevent HMI from starting so you can install things your way


    also after you install some option on KRC4, next step is to get project from robot (with that version of whatever you use), then customize it in WoV and deploy it back.

    i installed again the update and then download the program with wov.
    after redeploying it, all is working now.


    there are some major fix that kuka done, like sending an element by xml, and smooth working in server-client mode.
