I have a pop up window that says the following. Communication to the controller is disconnected. Check LED(DS1) on YIF board in controller before turning off the power. My electrician tells me is had an 8 on it. He cycled the power before he called me. Now the pendant stays on the splash screen. There is a fault at the bottom of the screen as well that says Program Pendant is Disconnected. he Thoughts on this one? What happened. More important though is. How do I fix it?

The pendant runs an ethernet connection back to the CPU board of the robot. This communication link is broken. Most of the time it is the pendant cable.
Please try changing it out.

We tried replacing the cable with no luck. Now pendant boots to the motoman splash screen and sticks. Yaskawa tech is coming in tomorrow. I'll post what we find. Unless someone has another idea.

Motoman Tech came in today and got us back up and running. Turns out the CPU went out. He replaced that and it took right off.

can anyone help.?Your cable connection between the controller an the teach isn't working, check it and replace it.
