I am a master student from the university of Ghent. For my thesis i need to control an IRB6000 robot with Sc4+ controller. I want to do this with serial communication. Does somebody has an solutions for this so i can read data like coordinates and speed out of the robot. I also need to simulate the robot in RS but i can't find a RS4.0 on the internet. Can somebody help me with this?

Robotstudio 4.0 will communicate with IRC5 controller?

In robot studio 4.0 when i go to tab Mechanism- Controller- All the options (Setup, Start, Shutdown) are not active
Then how IRC5 controller can be communicated

Nope.

RobotStudio 4.0 does"t have online functions, and isn"t intended to be used with IRC5 controller.

RS for is old software, to simulate older ABB robots.

I am Vaishnav Kuriyakattil and i am currently working on IRB6400 Robot, as it is an old one i cannot connect it to my pc ,so the only way i think is through teach pendant, so when i turned it on, it was showing guard stop state, and axis not commutated, and it was showing to replace the robot computer or serial measurement board, and when i was checking the voltage of 3.2v battery, i accidentally took the positive wire from it, so now in the teach pendant it is showing to insert the boot disk(1),
so i dont have the boot disks with me, so if you have could you please sent me the disk, it is really important.
