How to set up "hold for CC"?

  • "Hold for CC" is firstly used in our project.
E-doc says" The value is the distance in millimeters from the part detect that robot can travel prior to sending the conveyor hold request output. the intent is to keep the robot traveling to far into the zone while color changing. The value is based on the current frame."

Juring production, conveyro holding frequently is not allowed.

here is the question: How to get the best Hold for CC value while conveyor doesn't hold too many?

and As for "The value is based on the current frame" I can't get it ,what does that mean?

  • Depends on the version of painttool.

In newer versions, hold for color change is set by tracking schedule, as you mention, a distance from detect.

Older, it is set by conveyor pulses, and is often handled by zone plc

This is protection, that the part does not travel too far downstream whilst the robot color changes, that it is not able to be processed once color change is complete. The protection is, the chain will be halted whilst the color change is active.

Basically, a calculation can be made to determine an ideal holding for color change value, dependant on boundaries.

  • What type of controller also what robot? Rail Ped?Easy way you can run a ghost with conv the moment the robot takes off you can hit a line stop and take the value from the conv status screen

  • Many Thanks:

If I had the boundaries, Is there an formula to calcaulate the ideal hold for cc distance?

and do you work for FRNA?

    thanks for you suggestion
