I want fanuc R30iA to generate DO( for alarm) when robot is in step mode in auto mode.

I have used variable $EXT_DI_STEP = TRUE, $DO_NUM = 288 ; It works fine in T1 & T2 mode but in auto mode step mode didn't work at all.
After cold start also it is not working in auto mode.

PMC function is enabled in this robot.

    BG Logic DO[n]=($SSR.$SINGLESTEP)

Do it well right away. It will become bad by itself.

    Thanks san,

I have tried it earlier also but it didn't seem to be working. In BG Logic it is showing " stop " even after cold start. Moreover Iam not able to use step mode in auto mode. Should I only use BG logic and disabling the variable $EXT-DI-STEP...

You have to tell a BG program to start, which I think is the F3 key in the BG menu under setup.

Another solution is that you can use the Enable UOP output to monitor step mode. It will go low when the robot is in step.

Check out the Fanuc position converter I wrote here! Now open source!

Thanks to all for help & support...

I have used only BG logic.
    DO(N)=$SSR.$SINGLESTEP

But what about variable $EXT_DI_STEP ??? Is there any significance of this variable...

    anand kesari:

I believe any variable $EXT is associated with Extended axes. Your not concerned with an axis 7,8,9,etc. being in step mode are you?
