WorkVisual to send modified code to the robot

    Hello all,

    I've just received a Brand new KRC4 robot and it looks really nice.

    I've managed to install workvisual and I've seen that all the help is in German... :frowning_face:

    Now I've been able to connect to the robot and to see the program tree (KRC\R1\Mada, Program, System, TP...).

    I've started doublé cliking on a program I've created in the SamrtPad in order to edit it and it is really useful to edit the program there... the only issue I'm facing is that I don't know how to send the modified code to the robot...

    How can this be done?

    Once you have made the modifications in WoV then you need to DEPLOY the project to the controller.

    I'm not a fan of WoV as there seem too many bugs for my liking, I prefer to either create/modify programs on the SmartPad directly or use an offline editor like OrangeApps.

    No idea why yours is in German as my help file is in English? I take it that your PC is set to English?

    Robot software is in Spanish... After changing the WoV software to English I can now read the help information... :icon_neutral:

    At the end I've also found where the deploy is... it was easy to understand that... I can't do it... because when I press deploy nothing seems to happen a small dialog (DEPLOY PROJECT) appears with "Zelle" written on the left pane... when I press NEXT nothing happens...

    you need to use correct version of WorkVisual, for KSS8.2, WoV 2.4 is current.
    for KSS8.3 you need WoV3.0.

    also it may be good idea not to start from scratch but use base project from the robot ("Open > Browse...").
    when creating one from scratch, things may not get initialized and you may get errors (transformer temperature monitoring not on or whatever).
