Hello, I am a newbie to the Process Simulate. I was trying to find some tutorials to get familiar to the software. However, I couldn't find any online. Please, if any of you have anything, could you share it with me? Thanks so much.

You have no idea what you're talking about!
If you think that you can fully understand Process Simulate from a simple manual!
You do not talk about Designer. One will not exist without the other.
Go to a good training. That is the only way to get a grasp of the software. And even then you need to work with it for sometime to start to learn all the do's and don'ts. -
I wasn't saying I could fully understand the Process Simulate from a simple manual. I was just looking for something that can get myself started. I actually talked to Siemens. But they said their training is not given on a regular basis and they don't know when will be the next one.
Process Simulate is the only software my company purchased. We do not have the Process Designer. I don't know if we are going to purchase the Designer or not.
So if you have some tutorial you would like to share, I really appreciate it other than telling me it is impossible.

Ask siemens if they will do a one-to-one course (you will get a lot more out of it and you wont have to wait).
OR
Since the manuals come with the training course, ask siemens if you pay for the training now can you have the manuals now and get the training later (when they decide to run a course).
Do you have any experience of simulation software (RobCAD, Delmia, Robot Studio etc..), CAD Packages, Using / Managing a Database ?
If yes to all of the above you are in for a world of pain (the manuals do not explain things very well and you have to ask questions (hence you need a trainer) it is very easy to get lost in the lots of screens that appear, the manuals tell you what to do they do not tell you what you are actually doing) as Process Simulate takes all of them and twists them slightly.
If no and you are just going from the manual without training, i would suggest you start looking for another job, one where they dont mind if you start wimpering and crying at random moments (as that is what you will be like after you try).

Thanks, Simspec.
I do have experience of Robot Studio and most major CAD softwares like Catia, Inventor, Solidworks. I already have the sense of that the Process Simulate will be a pain in the ass no matter what. I think we will buy some training classes from Siemens soon or later. Hopefully, after that five-day training, we will be familiar with it.

I did not mean to be blunt, but to my honest opinion you are going to suffer. PS cannot be compared with robcad. it is not about the buttons. If you have never worked with a database oriented software you will crash and crash and start all over again and again ..............
Further more you cannot do PS if you do not have PD. In an analogy to Robcad. You can only do the robad study after somebody else build your cell and has projected weldlocations or whatever. You need at least 1 seat of PD. We have 3 to 4 seats of PD and 10 seats of PS.

We decide to buy the training classes from Siemens whenever they offer the next one.
Because I am pretty new to the PS, I am not sure how it works with PD or RobCad. At this moment, we only have license to PS and RCS_module.

lets start from scratch.
we are in the automotive business.
for our last project we received cells and "the process" from our customer. we could start with that and in principal we did not need pd.
Then we got an update. new panels and new mfg's. now you need pd. Maybe you want to change the process, add a robot add a station. You need pd.I cannot understand that somebody sold you ps without pd.
Let alone that there are other reasons to get pd.
seriously! I think you're on the wrong track.

Hope this helps... it's the beginners manual.

Thank you so much. I will read this before I am going to the training class.

it is normally not possible to lern process simulate by knowing robcad, because simulate has much more possibilities than robcad.
rsi roboscanning gmbh is giving 3 days workshops in order to transfer robcad user to process simulate -
It might be worth looking at the main companies who provide this service. For example - http://www.lanner.com/ - reading some information on their site and similar companies can help you out - I'm sure of it!

Hello Everyone!!
This is Adithya here from Bengaluru,India.
Can anyone plz let me know whether we can have a split screen in Process Simulate. This will help me take a video in two different views.
I know that we can do this in Robcad but i don't know it in Process Simulate.
