Hi guys,
We are about to start to a project where the robot will be capable of machining aerospace parts by adaptive control mechanism. And for this reason we will be buying a new robot.
I reviewed through ISO9283 (Manipulating industrial robots, Performance criteria and related test methods) and in this standart it is said that, if you are to buy a robotic machining unit, below criterias need to be considered;
1) Path repeatability
2) Path accuracy
3) Path velocity repeatability
4) Path velocity accuracy
5) Path velocity fluctiation
6) Static compliance
My first question is; if I want my robot to be tested and above criterias calculated, will the integrator firm provide us those informations?
The second question is; if I got the values of the above criterias how would I determine if the value is an OK one or not. How should I define them in our buying spec?
Thank you all, help will be appreciated.
