Hi Stan,
The 1380 alarm always comes up with the graphic "SLURBT" on (or more) of these letters will be highlighted. That is the axis you are having problems with.
Also need to know some more information. Does the alarm come up as soon as you turn servo power on or can you move the robot a bit before you get the alarm? Can you move any other axis (in joint) or does this alarm come up as soon as you try and move something? Does the controller have brake release buttons? Was the robot running before and this alarm just came up?
Send me a PM and I can try to walk you through how to trouble shoot and fix this problem.

Hello,
I have a problem too, Servo tracking error 1380 on the S axis.
It is a SK16 MRC. The robot was doing his job but stops on this error. All others servo give a click (release brake) but de servo on the S axis not. Is this the problem? How can i release the brake with hand?
Can someone help me? -
Hi , as Robodoc has posted,
When this alarm appears there are usually two issues .
- can you drive the axis in slow speed but not high speed , if so it's probably the encoder .
- if you cannot move the axis at all and it fails immediately , it's the encoder, the brake not releasing OR the "cables & connectors". "Check latter first".
There are not too many MRC machines fitted with manual brake release so you should look at replacing the S axis motor/encoder . It is sometimes very difficult to hear the brake release.
Check to see if the "S " axis motor is same as the " L" (should be) , Swap them out and check -
Hello,
I have a Motoman K-6 so we were running a program and got the following:
We got a 5110 alarm - end up replacing the fuses with 7.5 amp fuses to get it up and running
it finished the program went home and then we got a 1380 alarm with a highlighted "L" we are able to move all other axis. The axis moves a small amount and the green leds on the brake card go out and the error comes up.
Can some one tell me what next please.
