Hi all, I'm new to robot programming KUKA's and am struggling to find out how I create and display a message in KRL. In ABB they have TPWrite function is there something similar in KUKA. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Guzza76

KRL's teach pendant messaging functions have always been a bit weak, but they exist. If you check next door in the Manuals&Software sub-forum, you'll find a copy of the manual for doing messages.
One issue is, it depends on your KRC model and what version of KSS you are running. The messaging engine in KRL underwent some changes over time.

Thank you SkyeFire, but I am still very much in the dark having gone "next door". I am using KRC4 version 8.2 I believe. I have a feeling that I am looking for the old $MSG command, which I think is not used any more. Can you help shed any further light?

Check the file R1\System\MSGLIB.src
KUKA developed whole library of simplified functions that you can use globaly.
Open folder at the very begining that says "Interfaces and message....."It has explanations and examples.
For exmaple:
Will get you notify message on the screen.

Right here: https://www.robot-forum.com/robotforum/man…amming-manuals/
The newer version is the only one supported by KSS 8.x and higher.

My thanks to both of you.
