Define a new tool or Edit tool data using MotoCom SDk

    I have a Dx100 controller with MH5L robot. Have purchased the MotoCom SDK and am successfully control the robot from the host PC. My Question is: Is is possible to Define a New Tool or Edit a old Tool Data from the host PC using MotoCom SDK??

    I don't see any MotoCOM commands that give direct access to a tool... You could do this a bit differently though... You would need Motoman to activate the GETTOOL/SETTOOL software option though...


    ROBOT JOB:
    GETTOOL TOOL #1 P001 (stores current tool information inside P001)


    PC APP:
    bscGetVarData P001 (from MotoCom, read variable data stored in P001)


    modify as necessary inside MotoCOM and then re-load this back into the controller into P002.


    ROBOT JOB:
    SETTOOL TOOL #1 P002 (sets tool #1 to the values inside P002)
