OTC Daihen MTXC-3531 GMAW Torch

    Hi all,
    Has anybody any experience stripping and refurbishing these torches? If so, does anyone have a schematic / drawing showing how to disassemble, correct grease, care points etc? We have a problem whereby the torch U/J is sticking slightly so we are suffering minor positional repeatibility concerns with robotic MAG welding. Our maintenance team are about to begin a program of replacement and repair, so any advantages would be great.

    Hi RW, yes been using these for many years ,several issues -
    ** the torch plug for the shock sensor - it's exposed & can be broken. -
    not uncommon for cable to be connected direct ( plug/ socket removed) ,
    ** remember the shielding gas can escape in this area as well,
    ** returning to datum Center can be an issue if not cleaned and reassembled periodically.
