Hello.
In this week one of our Kuka 150/2 stopped due errors : Check motor cable A1, Error KSD A1, when I disconnected motor cable I saw burn out pin in described above plug, cable to robot has male plug burned too. I suppose KPS KSD from A1 will be in good condition but... could be otherwise. On spare I have other type of KSD, not 32 but stronger amps. Can I replace KSD on stronger ? what changes I have to make due to KSD swap changes ?? in configuration ? else.
Marek.

According to my files, some motors are compatible with more than one model of KSD, but not all. The $MADA alterations appear to be to $SERVOFILE and $CURR_MAX. From what I can see, everything else remains common.
Which KSD you can use will depend on the exact Article Number of your motor.

Skye as usual You have right.
In machine.dat, servofiles from 1,2 and 3 axe has good KSD's =KSD-32, but in CURR_MAX Ive got 48 amps. This hd has configuration from VKRC 2 ED9 version not ED5.
After rebooting of cabinet problems with KSD's no aprear, I will try to start up cabinet with this configuration in saturday, do You think this cabinet will start correctly ? If some type of motor could not be proper for KSD some errors will aprear on screen ??
Marek
ps. BIG THANKS TO YOU -
Bigger servo is always ok just not smaller

ps. BIG THANKS TO YOUI've only rarely ever connected KUKA servos to the incorrect size KSD, and then only on external axes. But from what I recall, it did indeed generate an error message. I have a hunch that the compatible KSDs are listed in the .SERVO file for each motor type.
