So today I decide to replace my Miller Deltaweld 452, with a Miller Invision 354MP. I am trying to get the weld parameter settled in (first time setting up this job with pulse welder). At some point in the 1st part or 2 I get a system error on the robot. It is a S4C+ IRB1400 M2000 with 750K positioner. So now I am thinking that i have blown up the controller with my new welder. so I call tech support, guy says do a "warm start" I do that, then special #3 and start over. now all of my welds are blowing thru the material. still afraid I have ruined the controller, I put the deltaweld back on. Same problem with the welds. they are hot and burning thru. Check my Voltage feedback cables and find a bad connection, I assume that I am not getting any feed back so the controller is ramping up the voltage trying to compensate. Repair that and no luck. so I change my voltage feedback cable with one from another robot, still no help. change the AWC with one from the other robot. same issue.
Is there anything I could have inadvertently done with the system error that could be causing this? I am getting no errors on the pendant, just cant control the voltage
thanks
