Robot mastering with 3 tools

  • Hi,

We have a robot which is having 3 different gripper tools and recently we had power fluctuation resulting in mastering data loss. After power restoration we have done the mastering of the robot with the tool which was on the robot at that time.
My question is whether mastering with only one tool is sufficient or do we need to do mastering with all 3 tools and if we need to do mastering with all 3 tools how do we do it.

The robot is VKR 240 .

  • The question is if you did mastering with offset. if no you must master the robot without tool. if you did master with offset then its sufficient if you master him
    only with one tool.

  • In larger industrial robots, just enough current is run through the servo to keep it in position. If you fight it, it will increase amperage to hold position. When power is cut from these robots, brakes engage to hold position. On these machines, you can generally power just the brakes with some custom cabling, but when you power them back up, they are going to be upset as the encoder positions don't match with what it expected.
