Hello Guys, I am new here:-)

I saw here that KRterm is for C and higher controllers. What about AD ? Exist any different way to connect with it?

I got keyboard with AD controller but I want to connect my notebook to AD- controller to make a remote access to terminal editor. Can I create remote access in some way with AD-controller?

I have got only 9ZA, 1AE, 1BP and IO cards. Without any ETH-port and additional RS-port card.

Welcome to the forum............ :beerchug:

Remembering back, they did introduce a terminal editing software called KCMon (which I think could also be used when loaded on a PC to write AS programs on the Controller), I think it used Parallel Communication via the printer port, but cannot be 100% sure.
I have never used it or have I actually got it.
I'll ask around and see if anyone may have it.......

It would be an interesting task to see if KCWin32 could hook up to it via the parallel port or not.......it may well work....but may need some tweaking on the wiring interface side.

Maybe worthwhile having a bit of a google for KCMon and see if you get any hits.

You can also opt to use a text editor (notepad etc) in the PC, create the programs offline, transfer them to FD and then load them into the Controller that way.

It depends on your robot model. UD, UX robots do not have a terminal with keyboard. You can connect a 25 pin sub-d (use google for pin assignment from 9p to 25p) to the serial port and you need KMON to communicate. KMON needs a 16 bit operating system, but you can use DOSBOX to run the software.

J-Series are usually equiped with a terminal with floppy disk. As far as I know you can't use serial communication as a terminal. But, if I recall rightly, some Arc-robots have a possiblity to communicatie with KMON.
