I've heard that PMC functionality is extended in R30iB controllers. Can someone enlighten me what is changed?

Can I still use the same version of Fapt ladder(I use v6.31) to program or do I need to upgrade to a newer version?

I use 6.81, don't know whether the 6.31 fully supports the R-30iB PMC.

Generally speaking, the new PMC is much more user-friendly. Main differences I have found:

1. more advanced functions (although still rather simple ones)
2. more advanced signal symbol/comment options
3. much more external and internal signal assigning options (DI/DO, UI/UO, GI/GO, AI/AO, SI/SO, WI/WO, RI/RO, R etc. are directly available for the PMC)
4. no need to include UOP signals in your ladder if you don't use them
5. no need to backup you program in the controller (move it from RAM to ROM)
