Hi this is my first post in this forum.
I cant move my Kuka iiwa 7 R800 (version 2) touch electric anymore without pushing the white enable button on the media flange. This error occured from one second to another without changing the code on the cabinet.

The error message is: "Error at safe input of media flange (input Enable)" this triggers a "Error in safe device. Safety control is paused".
As soon as i press the white enable button on the media flange the first error is gone and i can "Resume Safety control" and the robot can be moved as long as i keep pressing the button on the  media flange.

What i tried already: I created a new empty Project in Sunrise Workbench(1.14.1.15) with the default safety configuration and this error is still displayed. I also restarted the cabinet a few times.

The manual does give me a clue and google does not have answers. I dont know if it is related but my robot device state on the smartpad has a warning "Position range ID1, ID7 unknown"...

I hope someone can help me. ???

Does the error disappear when you hold the enabling switch on the SmartPad?

you cannot do handguiding (in the robot application) in T1 because then you are activating two enabling devices, which are not possible.

I meant pressing the enabling switch on the smartpad only

Hey, thanks for your fast replies. I am not sure if i understand the answer of razzo right. i dont want to do handguiding stuff and i never did it before. The robot was already running in automatic mode and i have never used the enable switch on the media flange until now. Now the robot forces me to press the media flange button evertime i want to move it.

edit: I HAVE TO push the media flange enable button AND one of the enabeling switches on the smartpad to move robots axis on the smartpad.

this does not have any effect  :icon_neutral:

i have attached the error message on the smartpad and my safety configuration (sry i dont know how to change the language in sunrise workbench to german, but if you know that "eingang" is input and "ausgang" is output you maybe can read it)

Sounds like a problem with the safety device. All the PSM rows that can stop the robot are not active yet you still have this error. Try deactivating the last 2 rows just to make sure that the problem isn't from these rows.

Did you enable the handguiding in the KUKA PSM?

Did you install the Handguiding option package?

I could try to analyze a KRC-Diag, if you will provide one.

Doing nothing fixed it.

I left the cabinet and the robot running, doing other stuff. Coming back to the lab i noticed that the safety messages were suddenly without the problematic "error at safety-input of media flange". I resumed the safety control and everything worked again. i dont know why, i did nothing. like the error came out of nowhere it went back to nowhere.

Thanks for you suggestions and help
 :merci:
