Hello all.

I am a newly programmer with ABB RobotStudio, and I recently got a project for Renault in order to program an IRB4400 unit with IRC5 controller. The issue is that I also discovered that Renault use to follow its own standard called PROMIA and I am a little bit lost with this. I don't know whether I have to request this software to ABB or trying to build up the application by myself from the scratch.

I also got a backup from an existing unit, so I could figure out the current version of PROMIA and RoborWare:

>>PRODUCTS_ID:
RobotWare Version: 5.61.5004.05
PROMIA Version: 50.61.1603.17

I don't know how to start, I would appreciate some help concerning on this topic. Thanks in advance.

I have worked on Promia 50 (for spotwelding) 2 years ago and spent a lot of time to solve.. so you can ask any questions you have. Also i have documents for promia of two process (spotwelding and handling). If you write e-mail address i can send them.
All things are difficult before they are easy.

Promia is a application software Robot-Tool-Cell PLC interface for different ABB customers. (e.g Fiat, Renault, PSA)

You need Promia application media for installation and configure it. Renault have own standart and you must be get Promia for Renault. Because Renault and FIAT Promia have different functions.
