Hi All,

I was looking at the potential of MotoAdmin for loading and deleting jobs across my factory network. My local Motoman dealer says I need an additional part or activation code for the Ethernet port? Does this sound correct?

How can I activate the Ethernet port and give the controller an IP address?

Has anyone had any experience with MotoAdmin they could share, like whatthe up sides are and any potenial issues I shoud be aware of?

Thanks so much.

Adrian,
Fisrt you must to activate the Ethernet Parameter, wich is protected with the yaskawa password. After that you can give an IP address to the controller.

Hi Motomaniaco,

Where do I find the ethernet parameter? I've looked through all my documentation and can't find it anywhere. I have got the NX 100 Yaskawa password from the forum I'm just not sure how to use it!

Your help is much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Adrian

If all else fails, read the manual.

if (for example) IP address is 172.168.0.1 and subnet is 255.255.255.0, then
RS70 is IP Address field1 = 172.
RS71 is 2nd field = 168
RS72 is 3rd field = 0
RS73 is 4th field = 1
RS74 is subnet field1 = 255
RS75 is subnet field2 = 255
RS76 is subnet filed3 = 255
RS77 is subnet field4 = 0.

And RS0 must be set to 2 to enable FTP transfers.

I had to send Motoman a copy of my FD.PRM file, so that they could enable the required (secret) FTP option bits, and then overwrite mine with their modified one
to be able to enable enet comms, but I wanted Ethernet IP option too, so I'm not sure what you will need to buy.
I used Filezilla to push/pull jobs to/from the bot, pendant has to have REMOTE selected for FTP to work.

Thanks Jim,

I give it a go and report back on my success or failure.

Once I get the MotoAdmin software I'll snap some screen shots and post them for oether to review.

Thanks so kindly,

Kind regards,

Hello Everyone,

I have AutoJobChanger application to work with motoman XRC controller but because of some unknown reason its not working properly. so i developed one application which can communicate with robot and through that application i can access robot movements through BscMov commands. I have included lots of ohter Bsc like commands even for Upload and Download. but these functions are not working. What could be the possible reason? and what else i need to consider or change for proper working of AutoJobChanger Application except RS parameters?

Best Regards,
Chirag
