I am starting to learn Motoman robot programming, and wold like to be able to write code at home. I am looking for an updated syntax file for either UltraEdit or Jedit that would work on a Windows machine.

Thanks

Here's my robots.txt file for UltraEdit. Set UltraEdit options to point to the file and it should be good for a whole bunch of different robots.
No fancy stuff in it, just plain keyword highlight in most cases. I think you may have to rename the file extension for the newer Windows Ultraedit, it is easy to find out by looking at what the default files that come packaged with UE are called.

Thanks Jim,

For the latest version of UltraEdit for Windows, I renamed the file to "robot.uew". See below for where I put the file for Windows XP & how to turn on the syntax highlighting.

Thanks Lloyd and Jim:

I picture says a 1000 words.
It took me less than 5 minutes, last time I wasted the whole morning at work and I couldn't put it together.

I put all this info together and I copied into the sticky thread "Utilities for the robot programmer"
