HI,

I need to set some different D values in my program with a more user friendly display (in this case the user have to select pipe diameter and number of pipes)

how is this done the easiest way with a display?
which motoman software/hardware do i have to buy?
is it easy to set up?

Thanks... icon_rofl

I don´t believe Motoman XRC has an interactive display.
Beside using a PLC and HMI which yu might not have, Have you considered using thumbwheel switches or similar to connect to discreet I/O ?

XRC does not have the built in HMI like the NX or DX controller.  Somar's suggestions are great.  The only other suggestion I have is that Motoman has PC software that lets you create your own application.  You could theoretically create your own HMI on the laptop.

Visual Basic language would be needed for this however.

Thanks

great idea with using I/O and binary code

Yes i think I will use a Plc conected to a display and then create a binary code and send this to the robot by the usual I/O connectors
in the robot i will convert this code to a D value

One time, I used a scanner to ID parts and then Visual DCI (PC software) set my variables for use in my jobs

Scanner took a silhouette of part
PC identified part
DCI set variables based on ID sent to robot
Robot ran part
