Hello, First of all congratulate you on the forum.

 My problem is as follows:
We have removed several robots of an assembly line controlled by an automaton, the most modern is a NX100 + HP6 + Fronius welding machine.
The chain was 1 years standing, and I'm trying to operate the robot separately.
When I connect the power switch, the NX100 starts in maintenance mode, with a main menu very limited, with no menu at the top left and one or two yellow keys at the top right.
I am new to this, and I need to know if it is possible the configuration may have been deleted, or if I need the key to unlock Yaskawa.

When the NX100 start, the main menu only have 3 buttons, the menu area is blank, in the status display area, only show a yellow key.

 Thanks and best regards.

the quick way to solve your problem is to contact yaskawa representative from your areaan ask him to give you all information that you need. where are you locate? it is possible to have a special conifguration... with the serial number and order number, the yaskawa repersentative can offer you the exact state of you robot.

Sounds like the battery inside the controller has died.  If you have a cmos.bin file you could reload the file and be back to the way it was.  If you don't have the cmos then you need to re-initialize the controller.  Depending on what hardware you have on the controller this may be easier to have a Yaskawa employee do this.

And replace the battery.  On the NX when you open the controller door there is a rack (contains CPS, AXA, NCP, NIf...) at the far left along the rack are two screws, loosen these screws.  The cover that these screws are holding lifts up and slides out.  The battery will be along the left side on the bottom.

Thanks for your reply, I think the battery is empty, and as the robot was switched off 1 years ago, perhaps it has lost the memory.

The robot is connected to a fronius machine.

As we get the robot from a closed company, they don't have any backup of the robot configuration.

¿It is possible to reset myself?

Thanks.

Yes, you could if you have the complete understanding and info of the setup
The configuration can very from the default................ GREATLY.
Interfacing with peripheral equipment is rarely ever standard..............
if it is dead you can play with it or get some help setting it up....Then make a CMOS backup

Dude, no matter what you do, your robot always startsup in the maintenance mode. I have had the same issue before and I tried everything. But the only solution to thiis as far as I am aware of is reinitialize. Where are you based? May be someone of us can help you out if you let us know the exact location.

Hi all,

Sometimes you have one short circuit in the cabinet and you lost the configuration of cards, in special NIF,

go to the maintenance mode, setup, I/O module, enter, enter, yes. Finished, reboot the controller and finished.

If all the time the robot go to the maintenance mode, same after initialized. Look for NIF, one led red next to the

flat cable in the top is on, you lost the battery in the backplane, open the protection of the first modul and you see

the battery, change, and initialize again. After this, the failure exist, maybe you have problem with cards(rarely).
