Is there anyway to edit lock position variables on nx?

Nothing directly.
You could control your security level, I believe operators can not change variable values.  You could also get the option called "Password Protection"  You can setup anyone with a their own log-in and password and assigned them operator, editor or management levels.

Thanks for the reply! I have the user logon already, I was hoping to protect them from myself as I have accidently changed them before.

You could also perhaps make a job with your position variable then use the SETE  instruction (I believe)
It assigns pulse count data for each axis and I think makes it more difficult to redefine/modify. Let me know if you are still having this issue and I can give you more information!

I might sound obvious, but if you had a backup you wouldn't had that problem

sheps0101 has a good idea but you still have to maintain the .jbi updated, same idea will be having an excel sheet.

I know it's difficult in production to do all this things (no time), but just to keep your P var safe save the variables file only instead of the program.

The p var are shown in VAR.DAT and they look like
