Hi,

We using several welding robots operated by NX-100 Motoman robots. Our problem it's the pendant box which seems to have some kind of weakness. We have 4 pcs. with same symptom's,they look to boot-up but when they rich the moment to display the main menu they stock in the Motoman generic window. Touching the touch screen you can hear the beeps, so I'm pretty sure the touch screen is O.K. The  question is if we can find a way to fix them(I mind some kind of diagnose kit or something similar). We have very good connection with the Motoman representative but I post here first because I think is better to ask other people who use this kind of robots, maybe I will have an answer. Thanks in advance for any answer or advice.

How did this problem originate?
Did pendents just stopped working?
Do they work on any controller?
Did the pendants come out of a stock room?
Was robot software changed?

For older versions of NX robots, the teach pendant software does not automatically update itself.  I suspect that the software version of the pendant does not match the software version of the CPU.

When this happens, you sometimes will get missing buttons, black screen, etc...

Hi guys I’m back again,

Thanks to your posts I fix our problem half way. How you guys suggested our welders have changed the pendants many times so we had an software version mismatch so after we have used the pendants in the right place the pendants have download the program in his plenty including the user interface so we have found that 2 of them have touch screen problems (some of the active buttons don’t works), and the other 2 will be used as spare parts. Our Motoman service will change the touch screen ASAP. Many thanks for the helpful posts.
