I'm hoping someone can lead me in the right direction, I need to get this thing up and running by Jan 3rd and would like to take some time off between now and then..   icon_eek

I've got a NX100 with an SARCR-XFB01 (Profibus Slave) Card (REVA01) connected to a HP165 robot.

LED1 is flashing (as far as I can tell, this means that it's in normal operation)
SW3 is OFF / ON / OFF / OFF
Profibus Node = 10 (seen and in data exchange mode with the Omron Profibus Master)
SW2 (Station ID) = 0
SW1 (I/O Size) = 8 (64IN / 64OUT)
And LED2 is a Solid Green (On-Line)

Everything looks great, when I go into Maintenance Mode and check I/O Module, it shows ST#0 (NIO01-01) as 40DI / 40DO and ST#5 as 72DI / 72DO.

When I try and trigger outputs on the PLC and monitor 20070 and up on the robot, I don't see any changes.  If I try and trigger the inputs on the PLC, they stay 0 (assuming that the robot is holding them low).  When I try and trigger them from the robot side, I can only do it if I set it to "SIM" mode,  but there is no change on the PLC side..

What am I possibly missing here?  Thanks and hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays...

Correction..  ST# is 1 not 5 on the IO Module screen.

After some playing around (and lots of coffee), I found that if I'm in "Operation Mode" the communication card was defaulting to [5] and when I went into "Management Mode" it would show up as per the rotary switch as [1].

I changed the Stn ID to 5 on the rotary switch and I got bits (toggled and monitored on both the PLC and NX100)...

Can anyone explain why this is?

It sounds to me like you didn't scan the card correctly.  Once a card is scanned the security level (Operators, Editing, Management) has no effect on it's location.  You have to be in Management to scan for cards, but if you change the dip switch after a scan, the system will still have it in the original location.
