Got an MRC motoman, no floppy drive.  Anyway to back up the programs on it?  Looks like there is an RS-232 port on the inside of the cabinet, toward the bottom right if that helps me?

So then, that RS-232 is the only way to talk to them with one of those programs?  I just didn't know if I was overlooking a CF card or something.  Thanks though.

And a few days later, and a program bought...

Anyone know the pin-out for the cabling?  Is it crossed or standard?

When you bought it there was not a cable in it?

For MRC use DB9 null serial and standard DB9 to DB25 adapter....just get the gender correct

Standard off the shelf stuff....

Boss ordered it, just wanted to make sure we had a cable that would work here on-site before I got caught up in an 'oops.'  I'm a 3rd shifter, so I don't get to chat it up much with him about what's going on, we just pass notes back and forth.

I appreciate all the help Tony.

Gidday,
you don't want to hear this , seeing as you're spent $ , but there is FDD emulation software , same software can also be used for XRC. laptop best run using Dos only . Can Run Via Win 95 also , Some clever dicks have it running Via Xp. Cable configurations 25 >25pin Din for MRC & 9>25 Din for XRC.
If your still in trouble let me Know , this Old software has no real commercial value any more with Flash memory now being used.
