Has anyone ever seen this alarm and how do you clear it? It pulls it up as soon as it starts to weld. It strikes an arc and then the alarm appears.

Can I barrow a cup of robots?

this post should be under the yaskawa forum

The alarm is caused by not seeing feedback from the power source that the arc has established....
check wiring and signals between P/S and the weld interface

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the information, I'm still getting use to the robot forum I will post it under Yaskawa next time. Is it common for the weld interface board to go bad on those? we switched power supply's and that didn't help. Am I assuming correctly that if the cables are good the interface is bad?

Its a European Motoman that was shipped over here. They said it was in some box mounted on the side of the robot. It wasn't receiving the 24 volt signal from the feeder. He was kind of vague on how he fixed it. I hope to have better information from him tomorrow.

Also look at the values in the $c variables, they should read from nr.1 to 5; 30,10 2 3 and 5 :

Dear,

I have the same problem.
I have an UP6 with an OTC CPV350.
Have you got any idea?
How to check if the robot has the signal? (i don't understand " the $c variables")

Hoping you could help me!

regards,
