Some days before I used to get the alarm regarding the SLU RBT battery weak. Then I changed the batteries, now I dont get the alarm (of SLU RBT battery weak).
But then, I still need to set the home position, whenever I power on the robot.

You can check also connections from encoders to XRC cabinet -see for a poor contact. How many arms loose a home position?

If it's an NX100 or DX100, there will be a 4 battery pack on the back of the robot (where the base cables go into the robot - there will be a black cover with 4 screws).  If it's an XRC, you will have to pull off the back cover where the base cables go into the robot to access the batteries in the back of the robot.

Chances are that you may have already lost the home position.  If that's the case, when you're in Management mode, if you go to the ROBOT icon and choose HOME POSITION, you will see "*" instead of an abso data value.  That means that your robot needs to be recalibrated.

You should be able to buy the replacement encoder batteries from your local Yaskawa Motoman office or representative....

The robot is SV3X and the controller is XRC 2001.
I have replaced the batteries according the given procedure in the maintenance manual.
The procedure I followed during battery replacement is as follows:
1.Turning the XRC main power off
2.Removing the connector base
3.Remove the battery unit mounting screw on the connector base.
4.First connected the new battery
5.And then removed the old battery

In the management mode, when I go to the robot icon and choose Home position, I can see the absolute data values.
           Thank you.

Finally, I have got it. thank you to all of you.
While setting the home position I used to select all axis and then set home position. then, today I set the home position of individual axis and changing the absolute data of each axis. And now I dont need to set the home position again, whenever, I power on the XRC controller.
