it depends on the type of programming you want to do...if you want all three control groups in one job you will need an FD parameter turned on by motoman to give you this functionality.

I believe that, Onionhead? said.  A parameter can be changed to allow three pieces of hardware can be included in a job.

For spot welding, please give more information.  If the robot is presenting the part to the spot guns, I don't need to include all this hardware in one job.  I could move the robot in position, then PSTART a job with a spot gun.  Move the robot into another position, PSTART the same job.  The same job could be PSTARTed that has all the information to make a nugget.  I would have at least three jobs.  1 for robot motion (R1), 1 for a spot gun (S1) and 1 for the other spot gun (S2).  I would PSTART these spot jobs once the robot job is in postion.  I would have to use the PWAIT to prevent the robot job from continuing on.

This is just a way.  Assuming that the robot is presenting the part to the welders.  I make this assumption because I have never seen a robot with two spot guns attached at one time.  I have seen spot guns on tool changers but still only a gun attached at a time.

Tony...its called control group advanced feature....I don't have any documentation on it but I have used it....jigless is the best application for it...it was available late in xrc with special software... I did a R1+R2+R3+R4:R1control group...also recently did R1+R2+S1:S1for a demo....it is in the parameter manual....
