Do you have the external axis installed and setup in the robot?  Did you pick the correct motor, gear box, etc... ?

If yes, then you can set the teach pendant E+ & E- buttons to drive the external axis.  Switch your robot to management security level, under the Setup Icon you will see a button with a picture of the E+ button.  (I forget what it is description is)  Under this menu, you will see 7th axis key, press select and then choose your S1 axis.  Done!

I can see that E+ button but after entering n that menu i ca not select any axis. Under Group there is only "NONE" and nothing else. And what do you ean with " the external axis installed and setup in the robot?". How do i get this run or maybe there is way explained in some docs?
Let me know.

your external axis is not configured inside the controller. if you have connected correctly your cables then you must enter the maintance menu (pressing main menu while enabling the controller) and then go into maintenace mode. at setup you will find group (if i remember correct) and then configure your external axis(type of axis base or station, type of motor, resolution amplifier etc. when you finish you must press enter and select yes from the popup screen. switch of your controller and then back to on. after botting and if no alarm popped up you have configured ok the axis and then you can move your axis.
i suggest to talk with Motoman because the dx controller might need different configuration in the setup.

DX is the same as NX but yes talk with Motoman.  This is where you specify

Motor Type
Amplifer Type
Converter Type
Motor RPM, acceleration ration, etc....

Mis-input information could cause problems!!!

Good luck!
