I have bought a used UP6(1999). The welding card XEW01 is missing
When i start the robot i have the both error Error 4109 and 1204
If i disconnect the  XFB01, i haven't the alarm but the servo power doesn't start when i push the dead man.
I haven't any alarm, and all the led are green inside.
Have you got some idea about it.

Wavemill,

the XRC has some green "bridge connectors" inside to connect the external signals like: servo on, start.... If these, or one of these connectors is missing, I assume the servo on might not work.

I am not sure but I think it is XS6 its just a guess.

Wavemill,

With the XRC controller, you have to press the "servo on/Ready" before pressing the deadman.  If the servo system is ready, the servo on light will be flashing.  If it not flashing you have to check the e-stop...

Can you turn the servo power on in play?

Motoman still had classes on XRC robots, there is a one day "operator" course that show you how to move the robot.

Hello wavemill, are these Errors OR Alarms , there's a big difference .
Alarm 4109 is 24volt power supply problem , you could have faulty or short circuited  PCB or external / internal wiring short .

Forgive me if I'm going over old ground , but when you remove any
option boards "scada ', "welding " etc the machine setup needs to be modified occordingly .
Enter --Management mode > select>8x9>
select  > (now in management & Maintanence  Mode)
High lite "System" > select >high lite "setup" >select >Cursor on "I/O modules">select>
(whats installed should be listed ) press "modify"& then "Enter" > display should be "Modify
--Yes or No" - high lite "yes">select .-- display should be back to "setup" page.
if it's OK , turn controller off and then back on .
If this is not the problem , it should do no harm ! as no programs etc will be altered.

I think Pcarbines forgot one important step - how to go into MAINTENANCE mode.  Power off the controller, hold down the TOP MENU key and power up the XRC.  It should take around 5 - 10 seconds to do the diagnostics.  You can then go to Management mode and follow the steps outlined in his post.  To get out of maintenance mode, you must power down the controller and power up normally.

Wavemill,

You're going to have to call in your local Motoman rep to look at this.

Hi,

Great thanks to Pcarbines and Roboprof.
I checked on the setup, on position 15(in I/o) i have the card JANCD-XIO01.
I think i don't need it, but how can i do to disconnect it?
I try to modify, but don't understand, i press modify, ok, and i'm on the menu.
Have you got any idea?
