I seem to be getting this message at the bottom of the pendant. The robot refuses to weld with this error on and there's nothing in the manuals i have that says anything about this alarm. Help?

Do you have an analog connection to the welder?  This would be via the XEW01 or YEW01 circuit board?

If so, then try swapping that board.

If it is an Ethernet connection to the welder, I would look at the welder itself or maybe something with the CIO ladder....

I've never really seen that display before,

Managed to get rid of the alarm after taking apart the motoweld and blowing it. Seems that too much dust landed inside the welder. Thanks all!  dance2

What's the version of your welder?
S-1
S-2
S-3
*look on the sticker in front face, lower right of the welder.
Or, start the welder into diagnosis mode. Power OFF > Hold Down PRM Select + Rotary Switch button > Power ON.

You should have the welder upgraded / modified if it haven't been done yet.
Else, sooner or later you'll have ERR701,702 and or 501 & a couple of weird behaviour.  icon_confused
1. Main Control Software v2.10
2. Motor Control Software v2.10
* In addition, some modification on some PCB inside.

p/s: contact your local Yaskawa/Motoman office. They should aware about this.  icon_wink
