This morning I turn my robot on and once I tried to spin the work tables I received the alarm code 0380 POSITION NOT CHECKED, HOW do I solve this problem? What cause to trigger this alarm? Thanks for your cooperation.

Your prolem is probably caused by a difference of position when the robot was turned off to restart (usually happens if there is no tension while the robot is moving) ...

you must change the second home position (you can only do some management mode)

 robot
 Second home position
 modify (PP button)
 enter (PP button)
Data (top left on the PP)

Thanks Alessandro, that is exactly what happened, the robot was turn off out of the real value of the home position, I check the position then I confirmed it.

For the future, check if that happens everyday or everytime you turn the robot off.  Maybe the robot is drifting away while being off and something mechanical has to be adjusted

Hi Alessandro and Fabian, today I had the fault 0380 Position Not Checked again, my robot is kind of old and not in good shape, not for me, I just inherited them in may of this year but anyways, I am doing the best for the company to make them produce $, I reset the fault this morning and I check the position thanks to the instruction Alessandro gave me, but what I notice today I can manually shake the robot with my hands when is in home position, seems like the L axis is not tight enough to keep the robot steady in place, you guys think I should get the YASKAWA  probably to replace this axis or a reducer is wearing out, thanks for replaying.

Sounds like the brakes are slipping.  Get Motoman to come in and look at the robot and the alarm history to see what they think.

Robodoc when you say the brakes are slipping do you mean a speed reducer? Thanks.

Is that with servo power on? if so then yes your speed recuder would appear to be shot. If it's with servos off. then it's your brakes most lieky.

Alfamoto,

The brakes are in the motor.  This error you get is from when the motor moved with the power off and has not been "checked" (second home).  If this keeps happening with the power off, it's the brakes in the motor.
